It’s a detective show with a twist. Brock’s character McMillian is a tough-as-nails private eye, but his life is turned upside down when his daughter shows up on his door step, pregnant and ready to move in. Soon they’re solving mysteries together and raising a child. Laughs and drama ensue. (There’s also a sub-plot involving McMillian disguising himself as a flamboyant Pirate, which involves time-travel and dangerous robotic snakes. It may or may not make the final cut).
BEHIND THE SCENES OF BROCK’S NEW TV SERIES:
Grab the popped corn! America will soon welcome Brock into their homes every Thursday night on ABC. Brock’s set to star in the new series “McMillian & Daughter.”
Unfortunately, production has halted for now because the wonderful actress Tabby McGrew playing the pregnant daughter keeps actually getting pregnant. Filming is set to fire up again in April.
Tabby McGrew undergoes three days of makeup & prosthetic work to make her look pregnant. Except when she's actually pregnant. Then it takes about 15 minutes.
Veteran Actor Mike Bourbon joins the cast playing the perfect undercover cop, Benji Tranquil. He disguises him self as a Vietnam Vet Hippie in a wheelchair, all to fight crime. Benji's not actually disabled. The get-up is all part of his "undercover" character. To crimelords he's just another hippie in a wheelchair they can trust with their secrets. Benji does run into problems. For one, criminals figure out that he's too young to be a real Vietnam Vet. Also, he's only able to infiltrate criminal hideouts that are wheelchair accessible. McMillian tries to help Benji's mission by volunteering to build fake wheelchair ramps on his weekends.
You may remember Tyler Ridgeline from such movies as "When Weight Balloons: The Chris Farley Story:" or "What's Wrong With Michael." This go-around he's playing McMillian's trusty street-smart informant, Raddy Templeton. They share many gritty chats in the dark alleys of San Francisco.
Jim J. Bullock Jr. signs on to play McMillian's gay landlord, Miltie. Watch as the misunderstandings build & build for hilarious effect.
The cast breaks into impromptu musical numbers while waiting for Tabby to have her baby. Precision and complete trust in your partner is the key to an emotional performance.
