You see the symptoms everyday, but most people aren't even aware of what they're seeing. On a walk around the block or in your own backyard. In your way is a dog appearing to growl. Snarled lips warning you to stay back or even run. But is that really what the dog wants to communicate. Is he truly growling, or does he suffer from a debilitating case of DWDT. Dogs With Dry Teeth Syndrome can strike a dog of any age, breed or religion. It makes enemies where no ill-will exists.
The picture crossed our desks right before Memorial Day break. A tear-jerking depiction of a senior dog ravaged by DWDT... Or so we thought.
One of our layout folks blew the photo up for some touch-ups and noticed the awful truth. Someone had faked DWDT. It was right there staring us in the face. Two Q-tips holding up the lip, so that it would appear to be a classic symptom; Plain and simple dog abuse.
Two police officers were called to the dog owner’s home, but we were quickly informed that putting Q-tips in a dog’s mouth broke no law.
One Detective actually placed a Q-tip under his partner’s lip to show us that it caused no pain. In fact, the other Detective claimed the cotton padding was quite comfortable and absorbent.
Nevertheless, DWDT Inc. broke all ties with the perpetrator of this lie after giving her 125-thousand dollars under false pretenses. We hope to get the money back. We also hope no one else would be heartless enough to force their dog into this fraud.
Sincerely,
Brock
DOGS WITH DRY TEETH SYNDROME:We can bring an end to it in our lifetime.
WHO'S DOWN WITH DWDT, NO NOT ME!!!:
So Medically speaking, what is DWDT?... DWDT strikes a dog's salivary glands in its mouth and gums. Quite simply, their teeth get dry from a lack of saliva, making their lips stick awkwardly to their teeth. This can give the impression the dog is growling and ready to attack. It's simply not the case in most cases. Often times the dog's lip is simply stuck in a snarl over it's own teeth, because of a dry mouth. The side-lip is just having trouble closing over those bone-dry fangs.
So What Can I Do, Brock?...
I, Brock Armstrong, always promised that if I became more popular than Billy Graham, I'd use my fame for good. Since my recent take over of Silent T I've had a hole in my heart, a place I could only fill with charity and kindness. I challenge myself and you to lend your time and money to curing DWDT. How many Dogs have to be falsely labeled "dangerous" because of DWDT? These are friendly dogs, wanting to make friends. They simply don't produce enough mouth saliva. So they're forever doomed with a mean face, even though they have love in their hearts. Help me support my DWDT Research Fund, and let's bring an end to growling dogs who aren't really growling, forever.
A Fake Case Brings Heartbreak:
A PHONY!!!!

THE BRAND NEW DWDT SANCTUARY & RANCH:
Just like our Brock, he started a billion dollar charity to help dogs with dry teeth, and then decided it wasn’t enough. This is Brock on his new DWDT Ranch in Southern Colorado. Brock likes to put his hands on everything, and his crusade for Dogs With Dry Teeth is no exception. Seen here in front of his million dollar cabin built proudly with DWDT dollars, Brock is greeted with enthusiasm by one of the pups he helped. She seems to be saying, ‘Thank you for letting me put my bare fangs so close to the most tender and least protected parts of your human flesh. You’ve shown the world not to judge a book by it’s cover. I have no interest in sinking my teeth into your soft, warm, porcelain belly, where the sweetest meat is. I simply want to say hi, despite suffering from Dogs With Dry Teeth.’ Now that’s a mouthful. Ha. A few drips of Hydrogen Peroxide later, Scott was back on his four-wheeler, touring the 7-thousand acre ranch.
Meet Some of my Friends who deal with DWDT Everyday:
Here's a mother and son pair we rescued from the pound in San Francisco. They were mis-diagnosed as "aggressive" by local authorities.
Obviously, Lady Diablo and Damien simply suffer from genetic DOGS WITH DRY TEETH SYNDROME. Their tiny mouths simply don't produce enough slobber to permit their lips to easily slide over their teeth. Here they are sharing a tender moment, yet to the untrained eye it appears they will clamp onto each other's throats.
Look at this little guy. Geronimo here lives far away from persecution now, thanks to Brock's DWDT foundation. He's trying to say hello. I'd let him play with any child in America at this moment. He's perfectly safe.
Can you believe even scientists have mistakely labeled this scene as aggressive. It looks ferocious, but in fact is a loving gesture. Wrapping your muzzle around another dog's muzzle is considered a greeting in dog packs. It's only troublesome in appearance because of DWDT in the wild. I wish I had an infant to place in between these two friendly animals. They're perfectly harmless.
Survivor stories....
(letter from one owner)Brock, Your website has been so informative. I was surfing the web one day and then like a bolt of lightning from the heavens, I found your moving article on DWDT. My little pup Ella has suffered from this disorder since 8 weeks of age. The pound was reluctant to adopt her out because of her "vicious" behavior. We went to a doggie psychologist, puppy school, you name it, but nothing would cure the snarling and the accidental nipping. Ella finally turned to alcohol (see attached photo) to deal with the regection from other dogs at the dog park.
It didn't help that her "father", I'll call him Randy for privacy, encouraged such behavior. I've caught her many times drinking and driving around our back yard. I thank my lucky stars she hasn't figured out how to get out of the fence yet. It's been a long road.....but as I sit here struggling to type (with only 8 fingers left it's kind of hard....that Ella ...little nipper) I am hopeful that one day your foundation will finally find a cure for this dreadful disorder. Thank you for being the light at the end of the tunnel. Many thanks from a long-time subscriber, JS Kernersville, NC
Brock Writes Back: You've made our morning here at Silentt. Finally we know we're not alone in our fight against DWDT. If we can help Ella, or at least get her locked up in a puppy psycho ward, then it's all been worth it.
I'll have your pictures up on the website sometime soon.
And when they find scott's body in that field.. I mean -if- they find scott's body in a field, I look forward to seeing you at the funeral.
ANOTHER SOLDIER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST DWDT:
Tiffany from Charlotte talks about the simple way she's made her pup feel more comfortable: "Whenever Nugget gets her lip stuck on her gums and her teeth are barred, I always yell out 'put your guns up, Nugget' And we have a good laugh."
